Can the ER fix my tooth? + −
Usually not. The ER gives antibiotics and pain relief, but they don't do dental work. That's the runaround. We treat the tooth itself.
Is a tooth abscess an emergency? + −
Often yes. An abscess can spread from the tooth into your jaw and bloodstream, so get seen quickly instead of waiting it out. Swollen face, fever, or trouble swallowing? Call now or go to the ER.
Can I save a knocked-out tooth? + −
Maybe, if you move fast. Hold it by the crown, not the root. Rinse gently, don't scrub. Slot it back in and bite on gauze, or keep it in milk or your own saliva. Call us right away. Time decides.
